Yeah, my tires are at the 32psi. The majority of my DD is the "local highway" but I do have a mix of driving and maybe that's killing my mpg. It includes stop, slower roads etc. I haven't done just highway road trips yet with this car.

And just noticed you drove from chicago to mississippi. Lol, that's a long haul.

I've got 3:55's, and have gotten as much as 27 with mine running the tillman all out 93 octane tune. Generally I drive back and forth to Baltimore with about 20 or so miles out of about 360 in town. Even if I get on her a few times, I can still generally average about 24-25. Now I've noticed after putting the 20" cs-69's, it has dropped it a little bit. I can still get about 24ish when trying to stay out of it. Thats with huge 295's too!

The majority of the mileage on my Stang is from long hauls. I drove KY to CHicago to Philly to Boston to Chicago and back to KY on one, 12 day trip. And many, many (almost every 2 weeks for 2 years) round trips from KY to Chicago. I've kept strict mileage records on all my vehicles over the past 36 or so years and I chuckle when people begin to "compare" fuel mileage. It's tough enough to do and understand on the same car let alone others, even of the same make and model.

Hmmm, would a CAI leak reduce gas mileage? I'm pretty sure I bolted it on good last time, but I'm wishy washy about the BBK.

Do you mean an air leak? That would throw a code.

CAI & tunes won't help or hinder fuel mileage much more than 1 MPG or so and again, that's very hard to justify based on all the variables at play.

You sure it would throw a code?

After my bud put mine on (my eyes were dialated at the eyedoc so I didn't do it), and I did not feel the gains people were saying you felt, and I checked it later to find the CAI loose at both the throttle body and the filter...looked to me like a leak was inevitable.

I went back and tightened it up and BOY did I EVER feel a difference! like 20x better. And I had no codes thrown at me before going back....

^sounds like I need to take a nice road trip to a good beach lol.

Hmmm, as for the airleak, it might not throw a code right away? Nothing has popped up since I cleared it months ago. Guessing just my driving style and conditions at this point.

Off topic, but... I'll bring the beer if you drive.

I haven't changed my MPG calculator since I got my 4.10's. It reads 18.3. Even after 9 months and ~5000 miles, the calculator might not be right, but whatever. As a friend of mine once said:

"If you're that worried about gas mileage, you should have bought a Honda"

I'll stick with the pony.
