Default HID install issues

Hello all,
So here is the deal
I was able to install my HIDs orriginally without the use of a relay as i ran it off the fog light circut and ran the fog lights off the dimmer control for the dash lights via the piaa 510s relay
Well using fogs that are driving lights as running lights and vise versa got old quick as it really didnt make sense
so i bought a relay kit for the fogs
well installing them you would think is simple hahahahah
well after i bastardised the oem wiring to rememebr what i did to undo it "without wiring diagrams" that i later had to dig out, things got tough
so where i stand
fog lights are run of the oem fog light circut that works perfect
my hids though well thats annoying
i have it wired so the hids will run flicker free as long as the headlights are on
the relay is hard wired to the oem hedlight wires only 2 wires
My hids are low beam only and i am running the low beam circut hot to the relay, i tried running all three wires to the relay and the relay kept ticking as it was runing ground power ground power
ok so im confused with the whole ground turning to power and vise versa
headlights on everything is ok
headlights off key on flicker
headlights on key on evertyhing ok
so am i missing something here
i know it should be plug and play but i cut everything.....
so anyone who has installed them properly if they could trace wire colors or maybe explain further
im lost
i hate the idea of headlights on turn car on
turn car off headlights off
anything else FLICKER

no clue how the wiring schematics work

BUT, IIRC, DRL's = 80% power of regular low beams.

80% power with DRL's = flickering with your HID's

since the SJB controls DRL's , do what everyone on the mitsubishi forums have done.

power your HID's off your parking lights and call it a day.

by doing that you lose your DRL's and you lose the parking lights ( amber turn signals up front )

when you turn on your parking lights on the main switch, you get your HID's on full power, no flickering. When you turn the switch to headlights, you still get HID"s on full power.

hope that made sense....

That might be goode for mitsubitties but the S197 is not
a mitstibussie. The SJB wont like not having anything
hooked to the headlight circuit...
Not a good fix.
Do it right or go home is my motto.

btw
I like having a drl delete
why run hid if you dont need it
this is the best solution i have seen
as for the cut on the mitsu... id love to see how you stack up around a track against an "Evolution VIII MR FQ-400 it has 405 horsepower and 355 lb-ft of torque and does 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and is considered the fastest saloon or sedan car ever"
does your car do 0-60 in 3.5 seconds?
jeremy clarkson is scared of the power of the fq and yet laughs at the mustang
but then again he owned a gt anyways
I thank doode for his help and am waiting to see if 157 has got anything usefull to add to this conversation

btw i didnt remove the front park lamps
I just used the park lamp circut to signal the relay on and off
dont loose anything, the sjb wont notice the small amount of additional power draw from the realy and like i said, works like a charm
so unlock car, hids and ambers on
key on, no drl no amber
lights to park or headlights, hids and ambers on
Fogs on, hids, ambers and fogs
yay finally sucsess

so my experience,
anyone having issues with flicker, tap into the park lamp circut, but be warned by 157.... LMFAO
