Default Any idea?

So I was looking at my front fascia today contemplating how hard or simple it will be to convert it to GT or aftermarket-made for GT... (No not about that though..)

I noticed sitting down in the fascia a wire not hooked up to anything, just laying on the bottom, right in the middle in front of the radiator, with what looks like (best way I can describe it) a black plastic spark plug (obviously not but it just looks like it) on the end.

It has two white plastic factory connectors where I assume it was hooked onto some part of the cars body at one point (Don't see 2 holes anywhere near it). The end itself looks like a black plastic spark plug, even had a straight plastic piece coming out of the middle of the tip.

I realize without a pic this may be useless but if anyone knew what this was off the top of their heads, I'd appreciate it. I tried following the wire briefly to see where it's connected but it disappears under the car (haven't gotten into going under it yet). It doesn't appear to be able to reach any of the lights, at best mid grille I'd say.

Obviously a harness for something, I just have no idea what...Any ideas at all off the top of your heads? Could I have a factory fog light harness? (I have no fog lights btw) Or maybe a sensor for something that came loose? I'll try and get a pic if I can later today.

It's a 2010 v6 sport appearance pkg. And car is running just fine...

Maybe off your power steering pressure sensor?
Dip it in warm water and see if the SYNC temp changes accordingly...

When I get to tearing it down I'll test it. Ty.

I'd compare it to mine ... if my car wasn't still stuck at the dealer getting the tranny rebuilt ...

I got my tranny ripped apart too... My throw out bearing was done. However on that temp sensor, you will see on the right side around the opening there are two small holes just stick it up on them. Mine came loose once and I wondered the same thing. Luckily I found the holes quickly

Ahh cool, so it is the temp sensor for sure then? I bet it got knocked out the other day, came out of a shopping center driveway pretty fast to beat the oncoming and slammed my front end underside on the road pretty good. Was a hell of a dip there lol.
