Well, I've started FINALLY! I havent even got the new plugs but I figured what the hell. Car warmed up maybe 45-60 seconds while I backed it in the garage. Let it sit for 10 mins while I got tools gathered. Set torque to 33lbs and slowly backed 1/8 to 1/4 turn. Nothing screeched at all nor fought me. Sprayed my PB and Im not touching them for 3.5 days to let it soak real nice. I'll let ya'll know how it goes from here, but keeping my fingers crossed that maybe Denvers low humidity is going to pay off well. Buddy did his 06 and said it was no problems on his either...so time will tell my friends.

Does anyone have the exact build dates when cars had the new heads?

After letting it soak for about 3.5 hours in the PB, I removed all the plugs. 3 came out with pretty much zero issues. 3 came out howling like a stuck pig. Last 2 came out somewhere in between.

But they all came out fully intact, so again...TAKE YOUR TIME!! Whenever one started howling or gave sudden tension, I would back it in a little bit and proceed slowly and gently and nothing broke off. The 3 that fought me were pretty coated with black carbon (guessing thats what it is) and could have broken if I'd been too agressive I believe.

Put in the new Champion plugs with a little nickle anti - seize ($14.23 a piece with a price match) and my baby is idling sweet and running great. BTW - the Motorcrafts I pulled had zero anti seize on them from the factory.
