Difference between SCT X2 and X3
I am currently looking for a tuner to get a brenspeed tune on my gt. I have been researching certain tuners, and what I want to know is what the difference between the sct x2 and x3 tuners. Can I load a brenspeed tune on either of them? What's the advantages of going with an x3? Thanks a lot for the help.
yes a tune can be loaded on either, i have a x2 with bama, i think the main difference is the "canned" tune that sct writes, but here is a link i found

and to be honest i'm not sure you can still buy an x2 unless a shop still has old stock around

I bought an X3 from Brenspeed with the three custom tunes, worth every penny of the $379. IMO its worth more than that, I feel like a got more than I paid for. Just curious what does a used X2 and X3 go for? Also remember that Brenspeed is going to charge $125 for three tunes so that will add to your price. The $379 from Brenspeed includes the three tunes.
Depends on the car, too. I dont think a xcal2 can hold the tune file for a '07+ (too big).
And you may have to let the tuner know it's for a xcal2.
I just got some new tunes for my xcal2, so yes can use them. I did have to update the xcal2 firmware to accept the newer file format from the tuner.
