Sweet. So is there a preference on X-Pipe? And I thought you said I didn't want an X Pipe in case I wanted to do LT Headers?

EDIT: Scratch that, evidently I'm an idiot and I just didn't understand what you were saying. My bad. Any preference on X?

Just Youtubed that setup and I absolutely love the sound. It's a bit loud during acceleration, and a little quiet at idle, but it's better than anything I've seen so far.

Thanks JD. Now, I'm going to have to do this is chunks. Is that okay? Like, Mid Mufflers first, then once I get money get the X, then maybe headers in the end?

All the Youtube vids have various headers on them as well as this system. What will I lose sound wise without aftermarket headers?

the headers are basicaly not required until you start really moving some air through them. I would start with:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-...r-catback.html
then go to
http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-...ttedxpipe.html
then
http://www.americanmuscle.com/bbk-ch...ders-2005.html

That would yield you a very nice exhuast, you can buy in steps, and will not limit your throuhput on higher end mods unless you are REALLY trying to move air... like lots more then most ever get too.

As far as mods go though, i would probably do the mufflers, then the X, then the intake and tuner, THEN headers. The gain from just the headers is not going to be that much, but the high flow X and a tuner / intake will give you a dam good boost.

Yeah, I just wasn't sure on the X Pipe. They Pypes one got so so reviews it seems. I didn't know if their was a superior brand in that category.

I just got my door locks working again. I guess they seized up from not ever being used with a key so it wasn't unlocking. I could lock it but not unlock. I got some WD40 in them and worked the key until it started working again. It works, but it doesn't like it. It squeeks when I turn to lock it, and then when I turn to unlock it pops into the turn. I'm hoping if I continue to work it then it gets better. Not that I ever use it, I just want things to work. It sounds cheap right now how it squeeks and pops.

And thats the plan JD, but I may squeeze in some lowering springs between the X and the CAI and tune. I'm all about some appearance mods lol. How much HP am I looking at gaining from a CAI, tune, and this exhaust setup? Just a ballpark figure of course.

Well a stock GT is probably going to dyno at like 255, usualy with that amount of bolt ons you see people dyno in the 285 -295 range RWHP ( 335- 347 @ the motor) Dont sound like too much, but trust me, that range really starts to hit a sweet spot where you KNOW it is stronger

Sounds like a lot to me haha. You have to remember, I was rolling in a 2005 V6 less than 3 weeks ago. All of this is crazy to me.

So the Pypes X is the way to go?

I also gotta get some floor mats...I can't decide if I wanna go alternate of the floor color and get parchment mats, or if I wanna stay with the floor color and go black. This two tone interior is tricky.

Also, any idea on the door lock issue? At least it works now...I just want it to work like it is supposed to lol.

Yes get the pypes x, I bought the bassani and regret it, higher price and fit was terrible, and bassani wouldn't even talk to me about it. Sometimes you don't get what you pay for.

the other nice thing I like about that Pypes one, is it is a modular type setup. You mount it up, measure and cut the length for the Cat. If your creative like me, you would snag a couple of the really wide type exhaust clamps and now you have cats that fit, or you can slap the piece you cut out back in with clamps and have a off road setup. Then when you get a tune, you just have them send you the one for cats out and a emissions friendly cats in tune. Then whenever you want to go back and forth it takes you five minutes and a re flash. It would literally take longer to get the car in the air than it would to add / remove the cats.

Yeah, that sounds really cool.

https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6l...ror-story.html

I found that and it is why I questioned that choice. Seemed like a lot of people were really angry with the quality of the Pypes products.

I don't have a problem with saving up to get a better product, but if it's not better, then I'll just go with the cheaper one like ya'll are saying.
