Default Strut Tower Brace Question

Anyone know where one can be bought (whether OEM style or otherwise) that is painted to match your vehicle? Kind of like the way they match the Ford paint on the JLT CAIs . . .

I'm gonna' go with "no." Also, likely the reason no one has responded is it seems kinda' not so desirable a thing. It's your car, so if want to do, you'd just need to have it sprayed to your color.

I don't think paint matched would look that great. If you can find a picture of an engine compartment of the same color Mustang we could try to photoshop it.

The JLT CAIs are pretty popular, utilizing the same idea. Likely, no one has responded because they know of no one who sells them that way. I thought that was the answer, but was hoping a member may know something I didn't.

I tried it with vinyl and it didn't look right. The finish is powdercoated, so for similar durability you would want to get it blasted and repowdered.

Yep. If you simply paint it without proper prep I bet you'll see chipping in a matter of months.

This is a really quick photoshop. I don't know, I think the silver OEM color gives a nice contrast.

Actually, I like it even more than I thought I would. The brace looks like an extension of the car's frame.

I think it looks even nicer with your color than it will with mine (Kona Blue). Would look even better with plenum cover . . .

By the way, meant to ask: Do you do this for a living, i.e. you can paint it "professionally?" What's a reasonable price?

True. If you go this route just heed our advice and make sure your painter is able to properly prep the surface so that the paint job lasts a long time.
