I run the BEL STI-Driver

Read the test reports and other info here: http://www.guysoflidar.com/index.html

A RD is only a tool. You have to know how to use it. Even with my RD, I rarely run hard unless I have a rabbit running about 1/10th or 2/10ths of a mile ahead of me. And if you want to do it right, consider active laser jamming.

I have the cordless Solo2 by Escort. It has saved my butt 11,112 times. Lol.

I have the Escort 8500 x50 also. But it has acted a little strange on me. The last 2 years, about a month before the car going into storage, it would set of the laser alert anytime I went over about 30% throttle. Why only that time of the year, I don't know. Works fine in my winter beater. Car comes out of storage, and it works just fine.

Well fine as in some reason the yellow light on the plug into the cig lighter stays on all the time, and the max volume is only about 50% of what it use to be, but I think that comes from me dropping it.
Hard wired in the stang, no annoying yellow light to worry about, it still works 100%, other than its not very loud anymore.

Nuke is totally right. If you know how to use your RD correctly it will save you. The rabbit is always a good trick to use because it will set off the radar and you will know about it. Watch for hills, because when you come up to it you will not get a peep from your RD until your right on top of him and it will be too late.

I run a V1 and it's saved my butt more times then I can remember. But as it has been said already..... it's a tool and must be used as one. I'm like you nuke.... only I call the other driver my "Bird Dog", Love when they roll up on me real fast, I just move over and smile.

+1000, I am also looking at getting one, but for now I have to wait for the "ducks"to go buy.
However, if you have a radar and still get pulled over for speeding, if the cop see's it you WILL NOT be able to get out of the ticket no matter what your excuse is.

add one more to the escort 8500. hit me up for some good stories on how it has paid for its self.

i also get strange laser reading too. i put it in my friends chevy 2500 and it would claim it saw laser when he honked the horn. i think the frequency of his horn was an exact multiple of the frequency of laser radar? maybe the same with your exhaust note Stoenr

also SOMEONE HAS GOT TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE IT SO THE AUX PLUG TURNS OFF WITH THE CAR!

If you google the RX75 Plus, you can actually find the whole unit for about $400 and you just have to find someone to install it.
That's interesting, $400 is a great deal. I have no heard of this system yet, I might need to look into it. Also, how much did it cost you for the install? And the jammer is for lasers, and NOT radar, correct?
