Well after my stock shifter practically falling off while driving, im thinking of buying a MGW. Anyone have experience with this shifter, if not what do you recommend?
Lots of us. They just came out with a new design and I installed mine last weekend. It is very nice and is fully adjustable. There is a post with pictures of the new ball and shifter, just search for MGW.
Just read your other post. Check with MGW because they reuse some of the old hardware and if you lost it, you may still need new parts in addition to the new shifter.

ahh good to know, I will definitely give them a ring now.
the MGWs are great from what I hear, but if you want a simpler, cheaper option, the billet version of the Hurst is VERY hard to beat for the money. Great shifter, less adjustable then the MGW but IMO it was made right. Have not heard any complains on the billet model.
hmm ill check out the billet model. I have heard rattling and sound issues with the Hurst maybe it wasn't the billet.
yep, not the billet. The regular one is like OEM quality short throw, but its cheap. The Billet is made REALLY nice far above OEM quality and only slightly more expensive. http://www.brenspeed.com/3915201.html

I don't know if the sale is still running, but the MGW was only $275 with the chrome lever and 5 speed pattern ball.
I love my Hurst, had it for a long time, feels ultra solid and never rattles. Chrome shifter with black ball and it's infinately more comfortable and in a better position than stock.
