Default Rattle after X pipe install... Please help!

I recently just installed an off road X pipe on my 06 GT. The sound is great, but I have began to notice that after driving my car around for awhile, something starts to rattle. I've tried to pinpoint the rattle, but I've been unsuccessful. Any thoughts?

You might check your mufflers, for some reason, my left muffler has come loose from the actual x-pipe, just haven't had time to fix it. It rattles when I hit some uneven pavement.

Yep, just check for clearance and tightness. Make sure the hangers arent hitting and the clamps are tight...

When the exhaust gets hot it tends to make a noise in the rear, its the hangers in the rear. That what I found when I installed my Macs. A little tweaking and the problem was gone. It is most likely in the rear. Good luck.

When the exhaust lines gets hot, they expand mostly in the rearward direction. I'd guess that 1/4" movement back at the rearmost hanger would be possible with carbon steel. Stainless steel expands about 50% more than that, so 3/8".

If the rearward expansion of an exhaust line is blocked by bottomming out the travel at its hanger, the pipe will then bow out either laterally, vertically, or both (and probably drag the other pipe out of position a little too). The point being that if you find contact happening either vertically or laterally against the floorpan, the true cause of the problem probably lies somewhere else.

Depending on how the muffler is constructed, it is possible that one or more welds internal to the muffler itself have broken, allowing a baffle to rattle around some. This sort of rattle will be most noticeable at certain rpms.

Is this a problem with a clamp joining two pieces of pipe loosening up, or has the pipe broken free of the muffler 'can' itself?

You guys have been great help! Thank you to all. The problem was the last hanger on the driver-side rubbing against something. Easy fix. But I never would have checked there, prior to reading your responses. Once again thank you to all.
