Hey all, first post here, been browsing around for a while though. Anyway, ordered my 2011 Black GT today pretty much loaded up. Went with 6 speed, 401a premium interior, brembo brake pckg, electronics pckg, glass roof, 3.73's, hid's and security pckg. Got it for invoice (about 3k off sticker). I am so excited about this car! Dealer is saying about 2 weeks for the vin and 6-8 weeks for the car. Is that about what you all have experienced when ordering? This thing can't get here soon enough!

 

congrats! ordered mine 2nd week of April. Dealer told me 8-10 weeks for delivery.

 

Did you get a vin on your car yet?

 

No, I haven't check with the dealer as yet. But I heard 2 weeks should be the norm for a VIN. I will give them a call this week. Personally, I don't mind the wait. I need the time to research and buy any available mods. I want to hook up the 5.0 the same week I take delivery. Plus I will make do with the A5 I have for a daily driver for now. LOL...

 

I hear ya....I feel similar as far as having time to research everything and I plan to have an exhaust in the day I pick up the car (maybe a few other things, who knows?) but I'm still excited to get it. No A5 for a daily for me but mine is an '05 Jetta GLI which I do enjoy driving. This is the trade in for the mustang though when it gets here:



I'll miss it but I just don't need a truck anymore and I just need something fast again!

 

That's a nice clean looking truck!..but I know you will enjoy the 2011 GT...

 

Hey Stompy, how did you manage to get it at invoice?

 

I use USAA for my banking and insurance and they have a car buying program. That's the price I got through the program without any negotiating or anything. I was happy with it!

i'd keep the truck and trade the VW though, sometimes a truck can come in handy when you have a small car
