Default Galactic's Whipple install

Well I officially started Day 1 of the install. I have the 550h/o in black.
Pics to come after the install is complete.

The first day of my install I took care of routing the gt500 fuel pump wiring, mounting the heat exchanger, hoses, and water pump along with its wiring harness. (6 hours)

Day 1 I've accomplished removal of upper intake manifold, cross over, hard water lines. (5 hours)

Tomorrow I'll have help from a friend. I hope to accoplish the rest of the install; alternator, intake, blower, fuel pump. I can't wait to fire it up.

You're making me nostalgic. I enjoyed every tedious second of installing my Whipple. Comgrats and welcome to the crew.

Congrats on the Whipple! You're gonna love it!

By the way, I just noticed that Ford put the prop rod on the driver's side now. It's kind of odd to me since I'm so used to it being on the passenger's side. lol

Well the install is complete. I have a strange howling but I think that's due to the horrible instructions for placement of the Evap, and pass side valve cover hoses. I have them in the wrong places.

The belt sqeals when I turn it off and it stops. I followed the directions for the 3.125 pulley by placing the 100mm idler on the drivers side, using the drivers side idler for the tensioner pulley.

I have a P0104 maf sensor error now too, of all the things I didn't cut and splice...

Today took 14 hours. Total install time 3 days (25 hours)

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 10:14 PM.
