Default Spark Blow Out.

I think I may be experiencing spark blow out. In first and second I do not notice it, but i go through those gears has fast has I can shift. In third above about 4K it starts to surge/sort of like it is missing. There is no noise or check engine light associated with it. It did it once before the cams and now most every time. When I installed the supercharger I gapped the plugs to .041 per instructions (they said to factory specs). I do have brisk plugs. I plan on changing the gap to .038.

Thanks for your help.

You may just need new plugs. How long have they been in?

I'm gapped at .032 with HT0's. Boost is hard on plugs. I change the plugs and fuel filter every November.

AFAIK Brisk longevity is short. I've read more than a few posts from Brisk users who've gotten less use than you have. I think Stkjock is running them, maybe he will chime in on how long he can go on a fresh set.

I do have them in. First set still in the car. Have about 2000 miles maybe on them.

You definitely need a smaller gap. I run 0.030". Also... gotta check the obvious... is TCS off?

If it's spark blow-out, you'll be inclined to get fancy COPs. Don't. The stock ones are just fine to huge power levels.

YOu don't need to go all the way down to 30. If you are running 10 psi or less you should be at .034-.035.

I have HTO's and have been running them since I got FI. The gap is good to 15psi.

The surging the strange driving you explained earlier sounds more like belt slip or just a plain miss period. I would pull all the plugs, anti sieze them, di-electric grease, torque and drive. IF you still have problems look elsewhere.

Thanks for the help I went with .031 may try opening up a little. I have only ran it hard once since then, but it ran great. I did also inspect and antisieze the plugs.
