Default Exhaust help

I think I'd like a bit more rumble from my 2006 GT and the wife agrees so I'm looking for an exhaust upgrade. I'll not be doing headers or x-pipes or any of that but I will consider an axle back unit or simply have new mufflers cut into the existing pipes along with new tips.

I've heard the sound clips on youtube and am unable to make a determination based off of them. The obvious rejects are the ones I find to loud and obnoxious.

I'd like a deeper rumble on start up and through the first few gears but no cabin drone while cruising. I'd also like some larger tips to fill in the bumper cutouts preferably with rolled edges.

So...that being said, let the suggestions fly.

Personally, I like the sound of the SLP Loudmouths on the GT's.
Once I upgrade to the GT, I will be getting a set of those. =-)

I just removed my FRPP Borla Stingers because I put cams in and wanted the chambered muffler sound with them. I had the Stingers on for about 4,000 miles and never had any drone with them and had lots of compliments. I had stock manifolds and H pipes with just the axle backs. Had I not put the cams in, the Stingers would have stayed on, they sounded great, were plenty loud but could still listen to the radio or talk on the phone. Just my opinion. Good luck finding what you want in the sea of choices!

LOL...thats the problem...to much to choose from. I suppose drone is subjective so I'll get various opinions on that.

I also have the FRPP/Borla Stingers and although they do drone in the 1500-1900 RPM range, I think they're awesome. My g/f even thinks I'm nutz when I so much as mention the drone. She says it's a Stang and sounds great. Can't beat that.

I like the Corsa's myself. Nice on start up and have a very nice tone while driving and when idle they are not overwhelming.
