Cheap mod, easy to do at home (if you have a place) and does save some parasitic HP. You will need a few specialty tools but they can usually be rented.

I went with the Steeda because it is well designed with technology sharing from Ford. I did mine by myself in about 2 hours total.

I used the steedas when I had mine. They were very easy to do. There is a write up for doing them in the forums how to section under Taco Bill. Minimal increase, but it all adds up when you do a lot of mods. I had to change mine back for the F.I. set up.

i dont personally have one, but i heard for the V6 its about 1hp per 1k rpm. it would obviously be a lil more for the gt. ontop of that, i alsoknow they will supposedley drain your charging system faster if you have installed aftermarket electrical draws like amps and speakers.

Expect to free-up about 3-5 RWHP.

I put the Steeda UDP's on mine. They were easy to install, just rented a puller. I gained about 1 MPG, and have not noticed any charging or A/C issues.

I have never heard of a electrical problems. Has anyone actually had issues with this? A steeda pulley is fairly cheap and i might buy one also.

The old 5.0 had the charging problem because people changed the alternator pulley. This is not the case with the s197. We are changing just 2 pulleys. I used BBK.

I have had Steeda for about year and no problems with charging or any other issue.

Go for it...

I also have the Steeda on my car. Install wasn't too bad. I feel like the extra hp was noticeable, and have not seen any charging issues. Cheap mod, go for it.
