Default Any ideas on what to do with a 2010 GT Mustang?

Ive owned my 2010 GT for about a year now and im ready to take things to the next level.

Ive been told to get it dropped and tuned with a diablo sport tuner. Ive also been told to get 410 gears, however ive gotten mixed feedback from that. I dont intend on making it a track car. I just want it to be fast on the street and maybe run 11's or high tens at the track.

Any ideas or input?
Thanks!

I'm not even a Mustang guy per se, but physics is physics... I'm not sure how you are going to get 10's or 11's out of a 300 HP car that weighs around 3450 pounds with just a tune.

You'll need FI for this.

I believe a little more than FI to get in the 10's. Dude be happy with 12's if you want a good dependable street car thats fast

I'd be wary of getting 4.10s on a daily driver since they'll suck out your MPGs and I hear they can be a pain on the freeway. I think 3.73s are a good compromise between speed and driveability.

It’s real hard to get a street car to run in the 11s let alone the 10s. If you want a fast car start with gears 3.73 would be good. Now depending on how much you would like to spend you could go with nitrous a turbo or the king a supercharger. For here say let’s say you go supercharged with all the goodies now you’re talking mid 11s. People tale a lot of trash on the street. They say my car is 500HP, you say show me the slip, they say there car runs in the 11s, you say show me the slip. For a car to run in the 10s you need a race car, say goodby to your street car and say hi to over 30k and 600hp. All kidding aside take a look at my car with all my mods and I don’t think my car will make it to mid 11s.

Trade in for an '11 GT and you might get hi 12's if you're good. Otherwise, you won't get into 11's with just typical bolt-ons.

Did he somewhere say just bolt-ons? OP, you will need a SC for that kind of power/performance.

you will need supercharger, good rubber, and suspension upgrades to get in the 11's

My '99 SVT Cobra had 4.10 gears when I bought it (used), and they were terrible in stop-and-go traffic. Pulling away from a stop light it wanted to either stall or launch into the trunk of the car in front of me. I changed it back to the stock 3.27 gears ASAP.

I test drove 2010 GT's with the 3.31 gears, and it felt sluggish, so I ordered the 3.73 rear axle package and love it. I've added a supercharger, and it's still good.

I would definitely recommend the 3.73 gears for drivability instead of the 4.10 gears if it's not going to be a dedicated racer...but that's just my opinion.

Nuke's right...trade it in for a 2011 (with 3.73s) and you'll gain the extra 100HP very quickly!
