Ok then.... Ya " Meaty" usually means the Width of the tire..
Obviously, it's really your choice here for sidewall size. I just hope
you don't give it that tractor wheel look. Have fun !!

then your going to want some 55's 245/55/18

the larger sidewall will allow a more comfortable ride but in turns it will be more of a loose/pushing effect.

Maybe, but 245/55/18 is approx 1.4" larger in overall diameter then his
stock tire and he will lose gearing (and speedometer will be off ).
An equilalent 55 series tire compared to stock would be around a 215/55/18 tire. Well, this gives him lots of sidewall, but it's kinda on the thin side. !!

Interesting, I didn't think Nitto offered a tire above 285 that wasn't above 26" tall. I like the idea of a taller tire in the rear. Looks nice.

You are correct, all I was doing was giving him an example for him to understand, op can go to tire rack and they have a really good calculator that will explain everything, you type in what you have currently and type in what you want and its shows; height, weight etc, and how much the speedometer will be off.

35s aren't too thin if they are this wide.
