Default Axle Not Centered - WTF?

Installed some H&R Spacers #5065705 today and finally thought I had my rear tires sitting flush.

once I got her level though, the drivers side tire is sitting 1/2" outside the fender, and the passenger is 1/2" inside.

WTF? my Bullitt is lowered slightly from the factory with the "special" springs thats part of the package, but it's only 1/4" lower than a regular GT. So the stock panhard shouldn't be pushing it too far to the left.

I have a Spohn Adjustable Panhard coming, so it's really not an issue. Just pisses me off a little. Never wrecked/curbed. 3,500 miles. no racing ever.

any thoughts?

the cars are off like this from the factory even without lowering usually and the spacers make it more noticeable

Haha!!
You won't find any of these cars with the rear axle aligned properly.
Gets worse once lowered, like Matt says...
That's one of the trademark of these S197s, lol.

Nothing is messed up Tylus, just get an adjustable panhard to correct this.

I agree with the above. I thought my axle was aligned until I got the 20x10" wheels and lowered the car. I ended up having to get an adj. panhard bar.

guess it's a good thing I have an adjustable panhard coming then. car was looking so sexy with the wheels bolted back up

then I actually got it level and got pissed.

thx guys, glad to hear this is normal, and not a "something is likely broken" moment
