Default High speed engine problem

So last night I was leaving a lady friends house and was taking the freeway and since it was 2 am and empty lanes I thought I'd have sone fun and take it to the tripple numbers. It ran fine and once I went past 115mph my engine light started flashing and wouldn't stop. The car was running fine and everything seemed to be working fine. I let of the gas and went back down to 75mph and it still flashed and when I hit 60mph it stopped and was off for the rest of the drive home. Drove it to school today and no light and car runs fine. Any ideas on what it could be or what could of caused it?

Well for a fact 115 isn't the speed limiter, I am almost positive its 145 stock and you said you removed it so its not that. If it was the speed limiter your car would have stopped accelerating. I would think it has something to do with the tune being I've never heard of this before.

the speed limiter is 115 on the v6's. and it was probably because your car didn't wanna accept your speed, just accept that what i'm sayin is true and forget it haha

ya, my limiter is 115, i dont get a light when i hit it though. i think i was told by a couple fellow MF'ers that also the V6 DS is supposed to fail around that time. but as said, i know your a GT, so it was obviously a warning for something, what gear were you in?
