Default 2010 GT question

So I traded my 2007 GT for a 2010 the other day, and appearantly my FRPP Stingers are not long enough? The Stingers listed for the 2010 are a different part # and have extended tips. My question is does anybody think that if I found somebody with some welding skills could modify the ones I have, and save myself about 400 bucks selling mine and getting the new ones?

Any exhaust shop should be able to weld a longer tip on for a small fee. My guess would be around 60-80 bucks depending on the shop.
