Default Advice on stripes

Ok guys I need some advice and photos. I have an 06 GT, black with the red leather interior. I'm considering putting some stripes on it. At first I thought the solid black looked a bit more mature, but now I'm thinking it's just to much black.

Should I stick with red stripes of go with something like gray that will break up the black but not be ostentatious? Do I go all the way down each bumper or just hood, roof and trunk including spoiler?

Any photos of your black GTs with stripes would be appreciated. I'm not talking pin striping either!!!

Personally I'd be a fan of red on black, considering you have red leather interior too it would match nicely

Matte black stripes look pretty cool, it would keep it subtle but add to the car at the same time...IMO.

I considered going with red when I did the Shelby SuperStripe a couple of years ago (see sig). I saw one last year with the same stripe in red and it looked good.

Obviously paint is preferable over decals. Anyone have a ballpark price for painted vs decals?

Yea the obvious choice would be red. Just wondering if matching the interior is necessary. I think matte black is a tad to subtle!

If it was mine it would be red and go bumper to bumper. I think stripes look unfinished on just the top portions of the car. Depending on your budget paint would be preferable.
Matte black stripes would look good if you had a black interior.

I'm more a fan of subtle on subtle or flash on flash, not a mix of subtle (black paint) and flash (bright colored stripes).
Go with charcoal grey stripes or something similiar to keep the stealthy aggressive look of black but still get the break up of all black you are looking for.

I've seen red stripes on black stangs, it looks fantastic. I'd go bumper to bumper, I had just the surfaces done for a while, and it looked good, but when I finished them down to the bumpers, I fell in love with them. Other great stripe choices for black cars are matte black, silver, and white, so consider those too. Good luck.
