Default Keep car or trade in?

I have a 2006 Mustang GT with a saleen supercharger. I'm not sure if I should keep it and get the engine rebuilt and made stronger (it needs a rebuild, because I have a really bad blowby problem even with my oil separators) or just trade it in for the 2011 GT. Any opinions would be appreciated.

how much can you get for trade? How much do you owe (if any)? How much are you willing to put down? And finally how much do you want to pay a month?

I have a mostly stock 05 vert V6 that is worth more than what I have on the loan. I was contemplating trading and getting a 2011 but at the idea of tripling (at least) my current monthly payment, I am content with what I have.

How much are we talking to clean/rebuild?

I'd stick with the one you've got and stay away from the potentially larger payments unless you just really love the new 2011's. It would be costly to do a rebuild, but in the long run you'll be able to pay off the car you've got and have that much extra cash to put into it than if you traded and got something new.

Yea i agree with them that ur better off keeping and not having a car loan. I have had my 07gt paid off for about 2 months now and couldnt be happier. All the goodies on my car are paid off also. I went the NA route. In the end its your decision. If your not financially strapped the by all means go for it and if you are then you certainly know what the answer is.

It is funny because right after I bought my 2010, I saw a really nice 2007 Saleen for way less money and thought "Why didn't I just buy that".

Sell your supercharger and trade in the car is my opinion, you'll get a better deal.

I'd wait a little 'til the 5.0's come down in price

Keep it. Your modified car will be way better than 5.0, and way cheaper too. Cars are a waste of money to begin with and trying to keep up with "what's new and improved" is the best way to waste more money. You have a nice car, continue to improve upon it.

I too have thought about trading in for an '11..paid cash for mine in '07 and just don't want a car payment..i'm happy with my current GT and i'm going to hang on for awhile..i'd keep the one you have and rebuild..in the end you'll have a quicker car anyway.

You only live once dude, if you want it go for it no use holding back and regretting it later.
