Would You Trade Your '05 GT For A '00 Cobra R?
If you had the opportunity, would you trade your 2005 Mustang GT for a 2000 Cobra R? That thought crossed my mind yesterday when I was driving mine. That would be a hard decision for me since with either case it would be a weekend driver; so I don't have to worry about day-to-day livability. Now that I've started customizing it, I doubt that I would trade it for the upcoming GT500. Before I started "making it mine," I was definitely considering trading it back in for a GT500 when they land.
My buddy has an '04 Cobra... sweet car... limited Mystichrome paint... fast.... but '05 GT has more of a "gotta have it" appeal. I could have bought an '04 Cobra new for the same price I paid for my '05 GT, but didn't even consider it, so the answer is no.
okay, I had to do an edit here because I just noticed this said Cobra "R", which to my understanding, only 300 were made... so, the value should be higher (if it's a true Cobra R and not some knock off). I think I'm still leaning towards my '05 though, I mean, just look at it!!!

For real.
There's no comparison between an R and the 05. The R is amazingly beautiful in every way, sexy!
The Cobra R was only made in one color... like a redish orange.... and compared to the 2005 GT is worth A LOT more... making only 300 of them all worth about 60k? Plus i think only 250 or 280 are owned to the public, i think the rest are all fold guys.... I have plenty of Pics of it specially of it next to my uncles 70 mach 1... its nice looking... when the guy drives it home from shows he unbolts the front air spliter so it doesnt get ruined from stones and stuff lol... sticks it in the back of the car since there is no seat... rofl
