factory alarm problems

Default factory alarm problems

What would cause my alarm to go off when someone walks past the driverside of my car? Im sure it shouldnt be that sensitive.. Any ideas?

well I think i figured it out.. It only happens when the windows are open and you walk past it. If they are closed and you walk past it nothing happens... sounds wiered to me

If you lock the doors with the remote, the cabin motion sensors are armed after 20 seconds. The sensors are up there by the map light; those two small circular openings, one on each side. You're probably setting them off.

I believe if you lock the doors with your key (not the key FOB), the motion sensors and inclinometer are disabled. Check you owner's manual for all the details.
