Default Proper burnout help.

I'm going to the strip this weekend got my mickey thompson drag radials and just finished up my line lock. I've always had automatics in the past which was easy get in the water box set line lock and let her rip. My question is how is everyone doing burnouts with their manual transmission? Do you start in 1st gear or 2nd do you shift ? Do you dump the clutch let it out normal any help is appreciated.

Powershift to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, get your speedo up to about 140mph, at that point your tires should be warm

You can start in 1st, or in 2nd depending on how much power you have. On my car I'd probably start in second as it has plenty of torque and wont bounce the redline.

I have a Roush blower so I thing I am going to start in 2nd, do you dump the clutch or just let it out normal?

Yep first time with this car, I just sold my supercharged 2001 GT I had been bracket racing that for the past couple years, but it was an automatic. Going to try launching at 4,000 and go up or down from there, any suggestions?
