Default NEED HELP!!!!!!

I just purchased 4.10 gears from american muscle and am going to have them installed on wednesday. I am wondering if I need a tune immediately, or can I wait a few weeks? I am not worried about my speedo being incorrect, I am more worried about my auto tranny getting messed up. Can someone please help me out here. Should I tune it when gears are installed????

Any help is appreciated!!

The only need for a tune is to make sure your speedo is correct.
But you do need to get it done. Not just for you but for others who drive the car and for future owners if you ever sell it.
Might come in handy for the dealership to know someday too.

Make sure if you have changed your tire size you tell the tuner so they will know to calculate that in too for the speedo.

I am definitely going to tune the car, I just don't have $379 for a tune on top of my $350 gear install. I will probably tune it by the end of the month I was just worried that my shift points would be off and ruin my tranny

They wont ruin the trans immediately but I would get it tuned as soon as you can. A tune by a good tuner will just make the trans shift so much crisper.

I am definitely going to get it tuned its just that I dont have $379 at the moment on top of the $150 gears and $350 for install and everything. But I will be ok for about a week or 2 without a tune? Also keep in mind its my daily driver

You will be fine. The transmission shifts based on engine rpm and is lubed mechanically, not electronically.
