Default Drag tires

Just looking for some input for new tires. I'm looking to put some http://www.jegs.com/p/Mickey-Thompso...53925/10002/-1 on the car. I have 235 50 18 on now, was wondering what size works good on the mustangs

You didn't say what size rim you wanted to go to. Here are the sizes I would use. None of which are going to work on your stock rim.

18" 265/40 18
17" 275 40 17
15" 275/50 15

You could run a 275/50/18 M&H on stock 8.5" rims.

That's a 29" tall tire unless you're running 4.56 gears that wouldn't be a very good choice.

It was a little over 28" on my car. I was running 3.55's with them.

The ones I recommended will work. OP just needs to do a good burnt out and leave the line like he means it.

2nd gear burnout, let smoke for 4-5 seconds, keep them burning and smok'em up to the line.

Start at 4000 rpms, work your way down.

Should get a 1.70 60' if you have a pair.

Don't be afraid to leave hard. Sometimes these DRs need to have a little shock to leave correctly. I bet BruceH discovers he can leave the line around 4k with a decently prepped track with his power. He pulls a 1.5-1.60 60' and rips off a low 11.
