Brand new 2011 GT and experiencing vibration at highway speeds...
I have a brand new 2011 GT with 1500 miles on it, and when I reach about 60mph I start to feel a slight vibration in the pedal, seat, floor board. Steering wheel is smooth as silk. Push the clutch in and it doesn't go away, so that would eliminate drivetrain I assume?
It is more noticable at 65 and 75 when just kinda cruising along and on a very smooth blacktop road. Any other road and it is masked by normal road vibration. It seems to disappear 80+.
It is very slight and only felt on the smoothest of roads. Did a test drive with a tech and they didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, but it wasn't really on a smooth road that I'm used to. They recommended having the tires road force balanced and I'm scheduled to do so.
Any other suggestions or input/advice about road force balancing and my issue?

The Hunter GSP9700 Road Force Balance machine is the way-to-go. It is the only way I roll...
Also perform an inspection for tire / wheel defects / damage.
The tire / wheel runout is easy to observe when on the machine.

Thanks for the reply, I would hope they would not use outside weights on these wheels but I will confirm prior.
I'm more curious, do my symptoms sound like a wheel tire issue or something else? If tire, I assume the rears since I don't have any vibration in the steering wheel? Is it common to get unbalanced wheels tires on a new car from the factory? I thought they used road force themselves?

Eh, the car is probably junk. I'll take it off your hands and free you of the burden.
J/K, nice car though. I'm not a big fan of the '10+ but I really like yours in white. Looks nice!
Anyway, I would also assume a slightly imbalanced tire. Hopefully that fixes it for you.

I have been lurking on the site for a while and have not posted. read this post and had to reply. I have a new Mustang GT and my car has exactly the same probem as desciribed here. I tried to explain it to the dealer. They kept the car for 3 days and drove it about 20 miles. They said everything was "normal". But it isnt. There is a gut feeling vibration that just doesnt feel right. The dealer did say there was a "drone" not a vibration. They said if the steering wheel was not shimmying, that the tire balance was ok. Again, they said they compared it to a demonstrator and all was nornal for the model. I have tried to get used to it but I feel it everytime I take the car on the highway.
