Fortunately, it looks like you missed the hood. So, you're really looking at a passenger's side fender, headlight housing, and a bumper skin. Check one of the "new takeoff" companies, and see if you can at least get the bumper skin for cheap. The headlight housing is easy (eBay), and the fender should not be a big problem. Just get the fender painted and see where you wind up...if the paint does not blend into the hood, door, bumper, etc., at that point you could consider the proper repaint. But, who knows, you may get lucky.
they said they could repair the bumper and replace the fendor and headlight assembly.
there fender price was $214 and headlight assembly $297
would it be that difficult to install this stuff myself? the only thing i would really need done is paint/finishing. that way i could eat up the labor costs (most of it) myself.

As long as there is no structural damage underneath, that is a repair you most definitely can do in your garage. Just take your time adjusting the gaps around the fender. Use tape around the edges of the door and hood so you dont scratch them during installation.

You can always get an aftermarket headlight and will be more reasonable. The OEM as you found out, is over priced.
Those parts pretty much bolt on, just takes time and patience to get it right.

My insurance premium went up by about $200 because of my accident. I lost my "good driver" record even though it involved no one and was just body damage to my own vehicle. That will last you a good 5 years and it carries over to any insurance company. It adds up and will be more costly if you claim.

If it would have caught the hood it would definitely be worth a claim. The damn stock hood from for Ford was $1,1294. I opted for a Trufiber instead and am putting the extra $$ saved toward any extra prep/finishing

I'd say don't do the claim - pick up the pieces here and there from various outlets (except I'd get the fender from Ford). Looks like a very low speed hit, so you may be OK behind the bumper skin. Just a quick look on eBay:
RH Headlight Housing: $90 plus ship (eBay)
Front Fascia $165 (eBay)
Fender $214 (your quote from Ford)
Paint on fascia and fender will be about $400 or so. You're labor, and you're looking at about $900 - $1000 all in.
You could do this over time though... I know it sucks to drive around in a dented car, but you can buy the parts as money allows. I think it would be best NOT to hit your insurance for this...
