Default Info reguarding superchargers needed

I tried looking around, weren't too successful. I'm just looking for either a thread or a something that explains what I would need if I buy a superchargers that would add X amount of HP to the car.

For example what would I need to buy after a certain HP increase to include transmission or anything of that sort.

Thanks in advance.

I'll keep looking, my HP will be determined mainly on which parts I have to replace after I add that X amount to the car. Because if I add let's say 700 but I would need new parts for my car to handle the extra HP, the cost of those items + the supercharger will surpass what I can dish out.

I'm mainly looking what's the max HP I can add to my car keeping everything stock at this moment.

for that kind of a statment, your probably looking at a basic supercahrger kit, something in the 3,800 to 6,000 range from www.Brenspeed.com woud be good to look at. For that amount of money you should end up in the 420-460 HP range with everything else mostly stock. After that the next two items people look at are usualy a gt500 fuel pump assembly (about 700) and a high perfromance clutch (350 - 1100 depending on clutch and flywheel.) That is usauly good to about 500rwhp. After that your looking at a block with forged internals (about 3500) and be good to around 650 before most blowers desighned for our motors max out at with a smaller pully and a overdrive crank pulley. Our transmissions dont really hold up for a long time at the 500HP range, so plan another 4500 for a kit to install a upgrade tranmissison rated to about 700hp. The new pulleys are usualy near 100 for each step up in boost, and none of this includes labor, if you can do it yourself then thats it, but most performance shops are near $100 an hour for labor.

Just casue you say 700 I would have a feeling somewhere in your mind thats a goal??? Maybe maybe not, but just gonna say, that pretty unrealistic without a LOT of money and rebuilding half the car.

go with a kit made for a stock block.
hp will be in the 400-500 rwhp range. this is generally safe for an otherwise stock car, assuming the tune is good.

It's hard to find a good supercharger thread that isn't biased... because the Whipple is best.
