2010 gt loaded or 2011 gt base?

Thanks for all the replies and opinions. I never said the 4.6 was slow, just not as fast. All of you make some valid points. Dealer also called today and sweetened the deal on the 2010. Title for title. No money changing hands, out the door. I know the 2011 is not the fastest car out there and it will change through model years so I dont want to look back on this in 6 months and say I wish I had gotten more bells and whistles. Also from everything I have read on this forum about the 2010s, with a intake, tune, suspension upgrades and nice exhaust, these can be some quick and fun cars. Either way, thanks for the input and opinions. BTW, the way things are today, I am just thankful that this is a decision I can make. Other people are not so fortunate. Thanks again.

Even though I am a fan of power over comfort, I can't deny that the premium packages on these cars are pretty nice. I'm honestly loving the leather seats they come with along with the nicer interior trim. Everybody who's gotten into my 5.0 so far has commented on how nice the interior is You're gonna love the new stang!

Hey grats on the 2010! In reality, at most there is a 1/2 second difference 0-60 between the 2010 and the 2011. In every day driving, this is nothing. I was surprised at how much quicker my 2010 was stock over my 2007 and 2009 GTs. The little tweak they did to it makes a difference.

100 + horsepower in the same car is night and day.
Just saying.

Um, ok. It was an innocent comment, and a true one at that. In a 0-60 race on the street, a 4.3 0-60 and a 4.8 0-60 doesn't make a hell of a lot of difference. FWIW, I drove a 5.0 then the 4.6 that I bought back-to-back. The 5.0 just didn't feel much faster to me at all. I know it is on paper, but it wasn't enough for me to say, yes I will give you another $7000 for that car right now. Of course I'm jaded to be all honest... my 09 blown GT put 400 to the wheels, so honestly they both felt slow to me, lol. I'm looking forward to bolting on 150rwhp on this one in a few months.

I just wanted to point out that a 0-60 time doesn't really give you a great idea of how fast a car is when you get into the sub 5 second range.
I'm sure the 4.6 has more than enough muscle for a lot of buyers (op), but there's still a large "seat of the pants" difference between the 4.6 and 5.0. I have been in both. It is like comparing the BMW 335i performance to the M3; the 335i is a very quick car, but the M3 is really in a different league.
Now, if the 4.6 and the 5.0 were to line up and race just to 60 mph, there probably wouldn't be a big disparity. But if you're talking about merging into the highway to 80 mph, then there's a big difference.

Yeah I understand what you're saying. Personally I didn't see a huge difference around town or ripping up I-70 at 80mph. The 5.0 had more grunt, but it wasn't shockingly more to me over the 4.6. Regardless, they are both nice cars. As I said, I'm jaded anyway. I've had several "fast" cars in my life, so nothing stock ever feels that fast to me. The only thing I've ever driven that I thought was impressive bone stock was a Z06. That car was violently fast IMO. Too bad I couldn't afford it, lol.
