Ok so my brother is looking at a 06' saleen with 475HP upgrade, 36k mi, for $23.5 which I think is a great deal but I'm skeptical of black paint! I have an 01' GT with black paint and I can't stand it, everything seems to make scratches and swirls that make the paint look like dog ****. Is the paint on the 05+ of any higher quality?

 

One word, NOPE!

 

Mine fails, but thats just me. If you look at it wrong it scratches.

 

The paint quality is terrible with most fords...including stangs...I have a black 07 gt, I wax and clay bar frequently and the paint still looks pretty good, apart from some slight chips and swirls here and there

 

Dang, Another question... if someone wants to sell their car why the hell do they send me pictures of their roush/saleen full of F'in trash sitting in the rain dirty as hell!?

The paint quality on these cars suck donkey dick. Especially on the hoods

 

hmm my paint looks just as good as the day I picked it up from the dealer if not better.

 

It seems like it's hit or miss with some cars and the paint corrosion

 

Depends judging by what you said about the pics the paint probably already has swirl marks and isn't that great
