5.0 VS 427
I just read the Oct issue of Auto Eclectic and they featured 2 Mustangs. The 2011 Roush Stage 2 and a unlimited budget build 65' fastback.
Issue is here:
http://autoeclectic.com/current-issue
After reading it I thought, if I could only have one Mustang for the rest of my life what would it be a classic restored with every detail the way I want it or and new modern 5.0? A hard choice.......
What would you guys choose?

Kind of a no-brainer. Take the best of both worlds.
The old car with only enough new technology to let it run with more power, run cleaner, and run more efficiently. Add enough chassis development to keep up with the best of today's cars.
Oh yeah, make it a wide-body.
Something like this . . .
with a complete (but simple) interior, a basic radio/CD player, and HVAC.
Twenty years ago I'd have left the AC off the list, but my tolerance to heat stress isn't nearly as good now as it was then. I'll still leave most everything else off because it isn't necessary for enjoyment of the drive.
