I was going to go there but had thought better of it. TY, pascal, for helping me remember it's no fun watching one's tongue too often...(unless, of course, we're talking about someone else's tongue...)

lol, as soon as I saw this thread and her location I was thinking it was your girlfriend...after hearing the story from you at our car show yesterday..

I know someone at the local ford dealership and can get you a really good deal on a new one if you're interested.

Did she at least stop and offer the buy the homeowner a new mailbox ?? Me and my neighbors loose mailboxes all the time ... some folks stop and pay for new mailboxes ... some folks keep on going .. which is obviously a federal offense.

The last time mine got demolished they left their complete mirror in my front yard - it was from a Mazda. I would guess it would not be hard for the homeowner to find a Grabber Blue Mustang with a missing mirror.

In any case, it's a $200 fix.

Cameron, I am interested would it be from team Ford? I was looking at the OEM ones on www.fordparts.com and its $110 for the mirror houysin only really from what I understand. So the glass, and motor would have to be transfered over.

I think she just grabbed the mirror and kept going, I told her she should go back.

The same thing happened to me last year, cost me around $40 for the whole assembly IIRC... Found it on eBay brand new.

Broken mirrors are an easy fix. Find one on ebay for $60, install it in 15 mins and you're good to go
