Question from a "new" mustang owner: I just picked up an 08 GT, and the valve covers look pretty bad. It looks like they are aluminium, that have corroded. Is this what everyone else's looked like?

It this what everyone else's look like?

Also, just pulling a part and painting it does not void the warranty, installing performace not Ford authorized parts does.

Here's one of mine, but several changes coming before spring that should really make things pop.

1 - They cannot void your warranty by installing aftermarket non-ford valve covers.

2 - Here are what mine looked like before and after I painted them. The paint was a rattle can job using Duplicolor Ford Red, found at autozone.

Before

After (and dry btw)

Right after Procharger install and start-up to make sure it all works. Thus, the boost gauge laying there.

Here's a shot of my 2005 GT right before I sold it to buy my 2007 Shelby GT500. The Shelby is currently undertaking many changes under the hood in which I hope to have completed by spring.
