tell her your not her dad so cut the crap and tell you how many miles it has honestly been.... lol
See if you can find a sticker or a receipt in the glove box for when she actualy did it.
If you buy her story, I would call the quick lube place she goes to, and tell them that shes trading the car in and needs the service history because you want to be able to show "excellent condition" or some bs. If they been doing the service and shes honestly paid to have it changed that often, it will not look like that, even at that mileage.

SeaFoam is probably one of the additives that I WOULD be ok with but you should never need it with todays oils and apporpriate oil change frequencies. And only if i suspected a problem would I use it. Just about any other oil additives have been known to cause quite a few problems on the S197. Do a search and you'll find quite a few related threads.

It was a mixed response of people who swear they suck and others who use them and were lucky to not have their engine gum up.
As for the negatives about additives, this thread had no info at all if a trashed engine like this poor 4.0 has become.

There is no way in the world that oil was changed every 8000miles more like every 80000miles if she has bills to prove it,then they never changed it! I have over 350000 on my 96 GT and if you look inside it looks almost brand new inside, change it every 5000k with syntec.
