Default ordered my mustang

Ordered 2011 CS/GT black. Afraid I'll regret the carbon fiber, but I'm in Alaska. Shouldn't be to hot. I have a question for those who've previously ordered their vehicles. Did you get an order number from the dealer or any type of paperwork from the dealership upon ordering it? If so, what did it look like? I set a price with the "internet salesman", in person, he printed out this what appeared to be an order forum from some type of software they use. He wrote out the current rebates and the final price of the vehicle. I signed it, but he didn't. Just making sure he's not going to try and stiff me with a BIGGER price when the car arrives. Suggestions comments concerns? This guy seems very professorial and extremely easy to work with. Where I've grown up it puts my guards up and makes me concerned.

Most recent email states the status of my car: "It’s listed as "In Order Processing, Unscheduled-Clean" which means that the plant has your order, it has been approved, but not scheduled for production yet."

Again as I said before he's on top of his stuff. Very professorial and if everything goes through like we agreed upon I would highly recommended this dealership.

Congrats! Must be a nice feeling to know a car is being made to your specs!

Do you have a copy of that sheet you signed? Think of it as a receipt of sorts. He doesn't really need to sign it of it's on the dealerships letterhead. If it gets here and they want to jack the price, show them that. If they don't budge, walk away. You're not committed to buying the car.

+1.

I believe when I custom ordered I had to sign a sheet agreeing to the negotiated price +TTL and signed it, got a copy of it and it didn't have his signature or anything. And today I have my car and I didn't have to pay extra or anything like that.

Also grats on the purchase! You'll be lovin' it once you're sitting behind the wheel

woot! Thanks! Yeah I got 3.73s Cali package and comfort package. all for a low low price of 34.4k out the door. At least that's what we agreed upon and what it states on paper. It will probably arrive late dec early january. At least thats the dates I have in my head. Probably have to get it towed from dealership...ICEY conditions all winter long up in Alaska (from what I hear).

When did you move to Alaska? I hear it's a gorgeous place, I'm hoping to make my way up there one day!
