so nuke.... why do you think that X pipes do not add HP??? I do not know about this new 5.0 but when I installed my O/R X in my new edge butt dyno was really happy =)

Darkstarnes, I probably should have stated they don't add measurable power; at least not on the 4.6L. The vast majority of the feedback has been no seat-of-the-pants change, only a note change. For those that DID feel a SOTP increase, one has to wonder if it was the mind tricked by the ears. And trying to capture about 5 RWHP change on a dyno is tough. Even identical back-to-back pulls can yield a variance that would make a mod with single digit gains almost impossible to distinguish.

It's possible that an X on the 5.0 yields better results but based on the X vs H design, it just makes me wonder.

Those of you with 5.0's: as you dyno, keep us posted. I'm liking your engine more and more.
If you do get one, you will not be disappointed at all. I sure as hell was not, and even though it is a first year mass production engine to the public (the Coyote from what I understand was previously only in racing, not for public sale), and the Chinese MT82 tranny is a clunky thing of a gear box, I am thoroughly enjoying my own '11 GT.

I have yet to take mine and put in on a dyno, I hope I can find a Dynojet in my area, but my butt dyno tells me that the car has a serious load of power. I constantly have to look down at the speed-o because if I don't, I will very quickly reach 80MPH in a 45 speed zone. The car runs so smoothly and cleanly, you literally are not aware what speed you are going unless you pay attention.

Brenspeed is awesome and the 5.0 is the best mustang for the money you can buy. Congratulations on an excellent car.

I have been told that the S-197 05-09 like back pressure. I never have understood the term o/R x but I can tell you I have heard people who have bought the mac prochamber without cats actually depleted their power as opposed to someone who kept the cats which I did and noticed more more than before with the H-pipe. *** Dyno can't prove the numbers but I'm happy with the change.
