I purchased a new trunk emblem for my 2011 GT, I want to paint it black and am going to use the new "black chrome" paint from Dupli-color. Anyone tried this yet?

 

Did anyone pay attention during english classes?

OP, I painted mine black but used a satin black. Used fishing line to saw it off. Used goo gone to clean up the doublestick tape. Sanded it lightly then sparyed it. Couple of coats. Got some 3m auto doublestock tape to put it back on. Real easy to do. Go for it. Here's a video where you can see it.

Anyway, What I'd like to do is dismount the fake rear gas-cap wannabe emblem. I am a stickler of having crap on my car that actually functions. I wonder if it is possible to mod an S197 and convert the fake gas cap emblem it into a functional gas cap?
