Yea im sure u would fine with a cai and a tuner. if anything it will help b/c of the shifting points being stronger. u could slap a supercharger on ur car and be fine.

You should talk to JimC, lol. He has like 160K and has had almost no problems. He used to run nitrous, but he has been running an Xcharger for like 50K miles now. How dare Honda try to portray itself as better quality when my mom's pilot's AC died after 4K miles, had engine troubles around 13K, and had to have the trans replaced at 35k? And one of her exhaust pipes is hanging funny and moves a bit on the highway, but she hasn't taken it in yet. I have also noticed that there is a little squeak coming from the left rear area. JimC can run 160K on a mustang, plenty of which were on nitrous and s/c, with mere routine maintenance, but my mom can't get a honda to stay together for 40k?

Cold air intake and a tune would probably be BETTER for your car with that many mi.
More free flowing air is a good thing my friend. No matter how many miles you have.

So to answer your question... DOOO EEEETT!

P.S.
I would advise that you clean your throttle body when doing this.
That way you won't get a weird idle.
Go to www.brenspeed.com and watch their video on cleaning a throttle body.
takes about 5 minutes to clean it.
Actually here is the direct link to the video:

Aren't I a nice guy? hehehe.
Make SURE you use CRC Throttle Body Cleaner though.
I don't care what ANYONE else says YOU NEED to use this product.
Our throttle bodies have a protective coat on them and other cleaners eat that coat away.
CRC Throttle body cleaner is SAFE for it. You can find it at Advance Auto Parts, Pep Boys... and
other auto outlets.

I can't believe you waited THIS long. The only danger will be from you kicking yourself in the azz for not doing it the day you drove it off the lot.

103,000 here, currently running the BAMA 93 Race tune, no issues other than the parking brake TSB. It's seen plenty of high rpm too.

However, I don't recommend the 93 race tune in the snow. Did that this morning, haha.

not to steal the thread but a similar question...i got about 66k miles (already got cai/tune) but wondering about long tube headers and midpipe. Any danger on a higher mileage vehicle or soon to be high mileage?

No issues what so ever. Had a buddy SC his '05 with a little over 50k (We'll call them spirited) miles on the car. It's been on for almost two years, he tracks the car and hasn't had any issues.
