I have the old zune, its the Halo 3 version. Iv had it for about 6 or 7 years now and I love it. Its work perfect with no problems since iv gotten it. It worked fine in my 2010 camaro too (tho I didnt have my camaro when it was cold out) I want to get the zune HD, it looks pretty nice.

If no, of course, your Zune is jacked up. Call Microsoft for that, unfortunately.

Cold should have absolutely no relevance on whether or not your USB will work or fail. I have used computers in sub-zero temps before, and they fired up okay, although typing with extreme cold mits is no fun (find and peck typing, taking off the gloves would expose my skin to the severe cold, which is very bad news from what I understand).

What I am trying to get at is go ahead and take it to the dealership if it is not your Zune that is jacked up. Even if they do not know what the hell to do, they can at the very least replace the USB hook-ups, or the whole Sync radio set.
Yeah, that was my plan of attack on monday when I go to work. I was alittle stumped when it didnt work too. Thats why I brought it inside and left the car outside, but it still didnt work.

I know its not the zune or the cable because in the morning it syncs up fine with no problem (My car is garage kept). And i thought it might be the zune or the cable so i brought them inside which stays 70 all day. When i went out for lunch i brough my zune out with me and the same problem happened. Anybody else having this problem? It was about 25 here today, about 10 with the wind.
Hi Karnage541,

SYNC works in extreme conditions, here’s a link to a temperature FAQ: http://www.syncmyride.com/Own/Module...aspx?faqId=258. Make sure you are using a manufacturer’s USB and that it is not fried. Do you get a specific error message on the display when the USB doesn’t work? You can also contact our SYNC Support at 1-800-392-3673 select 1 then 3 for additional help or info.

I don't know if this will be benificial, but...

This is the second winter with my Mustang and I have used several USB devices for music in my car, this is my results so far:

1. Creative Zen 32GB, almost always plugged in with no issues hot or cold.
2. PNY 4GB USB drive for quick plays - no temperature problems
3. Centon 16GB USB drive. I just got this drive and normally, it plays OK, but when I leave it plugged in the car and start cold, the system jumps to jukebox or radio and does not want to recognize the USB port. I remove the 16GB drive and plug in the Zen, restart the car and no problem.

So I guess that in my case, it is the USB device.

Good luck.
