Default Door Wiring

I was watching a video about Lamborghini style doors and I was wondering how the door wiring works when you take it off? Is it just a harness that disconnects, or is there wire cutting involved?

Thanks

For the record: I do not want these on my car - I was just curious about the wiring.

The only good rice is fried rice - and it better be on a dinner plate.

THAT BEING SAID...

The American spirit can boil down to two sentences within a dialog...

"Theres no way you can do that."

"Bet me."

To everyone else: I am just proving a point.

No offense, but Lambo doors are...Rice, Rice, Baby!

Just my opinion, but I hate the way Lambo doors and gull-wing doors look on a pony car. Especially on an S197, which is an homage to the earlier classic 'Stangs.

Won´t get anyone to respond from experience as this has about the same popularity as putting 26´ rims on the car and jacking it up. I´m sure at least a few have done it, unlikely if anyone here that has would actually admit to it.

Installation:
Professional Installation is Recommended.

During a normal installation you will remove the front bumper and front fenders. Once they are removed you will remove the old hinges that hold the door to the car. With those hinges being removed you will install the VDC hinges and then reinstall the fenders and the doors. It is as simple as that.
Wiring uses molex harnesses, no cutting is required. With these, disconnecting the wiring is unnecessary to start with with what´s stated for this. Granted, even if not required, might be a good idea as there is not that much play, and putting that kind of strain on it isn´t a great idea. Lists having 12-16 page detailed instructions, so, ya should be up and riceing in a few hours by the sound of it, for $1200.

Bunch of links available with search for door dismantling if your still curious. One specific TSB in particular showing a complete break-away model.

Why not just save some pesos and buy a Lambo..? They're the only car that should ever have "Lambo doors". Honestly, suicide doors would be more interesting...but not on my cars.

I knew all (at least most) of you would cry rice.

I never said I wanted Lamborghini doors, though

I was just VERY curious about those wires.

But, for those who love to complain... I give you...

Sushi.

Ha, you know what? With some of the people in my area preferring to drive at a blazingly fast 25 miles per hour, occasionally I wonder if those wouldn't be such a bad idea, haha
