Default Tire Sizes??

So, time for new tires. Thinking about going a little bigger. From 235/50/18 to 255/45/18. Will this affect ride quality? and how does it affect speedometer readings??

None and none. This change will be plug and play. But it will look a little nicer.

That's actually a pretty good match. Your speedometer will be off by 0.4 MPH higher than it is now, assuming the tire specs are the same from brand to brand. Use this: http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp

More importantly, what is the width of the wheels are on your car? Most tire manufacturers recommend 8.5" min for 255's, if I recall. An 8" width can take a 245/.

If you go with a quality summer tire at 255/45/18, you will have the same ride quality basically, but better grip in 65 degrees and up. I loved my Goodyear F1 Eagle D-3's summer tires on my stock 64W bullit rims. Worth the upgrade. Erik

I myself have some 255/45/18's (goodyear eagle f1s) and I gotta say I really couldn't tell the difference. I'd say go for it!

not sure of the stock 18" rim. Need to check. So I'm looking at either a 255 or 245...Either one should look pretty good I hope!

I like the GS-D3s, aren't the discontinued though?
