Default lowering springs?

Test fitted 255-35-20 yesterday and love the new look.
but it leaves a bigger gap than my 18's. I want the lowest
drop springs and looks like american muscle has them at almost
2". Is the lowest I could go or is there anything out there lower?

Dropping more than 1.5" opens up all kinds of issues...I recommend Steeda Sport springs, see Handling Section of this forum.

+1, you really dont want anything that low like eibach sportlines.... Crappy ride and youre axle isnt far from hitting under your car, plus you have to trim bump stops and all.

People with HellaFlush cars dont care... Maybe he wants a hellaflush mustang...

If you want lower then sportlines you can either clamp the spring or cut a coil on it...

Which cutting i no one recomends.... Or get coilovers... But Coilovers suck in my opinion.

Clamps sound dangerous and cutting is terrible ride lol.

+2, anything lower then 2" drop has serious effects on alignment angles, ride comfort, suspension center line etc..... It may actually make the vehicle handle worse.

im also looking to lower my car, so i know when your start getting into low drops, its recommended to upgrade your shocks. Is that still necessary if you only drop 1.5''?

Necessary? No not at all, but a good idea yea very much so.

You WILL end up doing it down the road when your shocks/struts start to go.
