Question about the X Plan
#2
But to give you an example... my MSRP on my Grabber Blue 2010 was $37899. X-plan was $33,244. Plus I got Ford incentive of $1000, rebate coupon of $750 and dealer rebate of another $1000.......

According to my dealer, the x-plan was equal to $300 over MSRP. but according to the documentation I have at work, it's based on some calculation. I'd have to look it up again, I could try to find it tomorrow.

Dealer Invoice - (0.4% * Dealer Invoice) + Administration Fee
That is wayyy too broad. A base V6 X-Plan price is going to differ from a loaded GT price. Anyways, find the invoice price of the vehicle along with any options and do the calculation

As others have said, it all depends on the car and the options, I saved around $2500 off of MSRP on my 2010 with X-Plan.
X-Plan also saves you on Dealer Add ons, and the Dealer is limited to what they can charge on Documentation fees.
For Example the dealer I bought my car from had an $1800 dealer add on sticker for what I have no Idea and charged $600 for Documentation fees, I paid $75 for Documentation and that was it, no having to haggle. So me compared to someone coming in off the street and not wanting to haggle was $4900.

This is how it went when I ordered mine
When you tell them what you want on the car they hand you a sheet that is a sheet that says "This is not an invoice" on it. It will have listed the invoice, a plan, x plan, and msrp prices for the car and the options on it. They have to show you this document, if they don't they can get in trouble with ford corporate.
Most rebates and special offers still apply on top of that price they give you, so make sure to get those as well.

X Plan can also cause you to lose some other additional discounts, like college student & military discounts. It depends on how Ford is running it at the time. I'm a member of DAV, so I get X Plan. But I've bought cars where it was actually cheaper to buy just above dealer invoice, & take the additional discounts. We went that route on a Fusion that we bought.

that usually keeps a good track of current incentivces, dosen't look like there is much of anything right now.
