Default Mustang Purist

I see all kinds of threads on modifying the Mustang, but I am not seeing anything on the Purist line of Mustang owners, with items that can be done to our cars without damaging the "Purist" Mustang value. While I know that my particullar Car will not be of any great value in my lifetime, It would be nice to pass it on to my Children or Grand Children as it becomes a Classic (Which I do hope to see in my lifetime....LOL)

So with that being said, is there anyone here running all Ford Factory add ons or accesories? Is there anyplace where I could order a copy of the Build Sheet and the Original Window Stickers to keep with the vehicle?

If you install aftermarket parts....save all your original parts....you could always convert it back to stock 30yrs from now.

You can get your window sticker here:

http://services.forddirect.fordvehic...FT80N475307919

After vin= just add your VIN number and your window sticker will show up. You can save it as a PDF file or print it and laminate it for preservation.

Mine won't show up. I have typed it in correctly like 12 times.

No offense, but you drive a V6 convertible. That's not exactly Mustang "purist".

i have to agree with alloy sixxer, if we are even using gasoline when your grand kids take your mustang, chances are they will want a v8...v6s are collectible...besides maybe the terlingua

well i have to agree with the sixxer collectable debate, but there are exceptions... at the last mustang show there was a v6 mustang cobra. 1967 i believe... you super charge your car this day in age who knows in the years to come you could have a collectors car... if i ran across i built v6 mustang that was ridiculous i would hit it up... Who knows maybe some day someone will think the same about his v6, or mine, or not... who knows what it will be in 50 years, i sure in the hell dont... dont crush a dream, build it up

no such thing as a 1967 Mustang Cobra. A Cobra is a 2 seat sports car (with one Mustang exception)

If you want to make your v6 Mustang a collectors item you will need to send it to Shelby and have them install the Terlingua package.

My Uncle has an all original 64 1/2 with the 200 straight six in it, even has the Original Mustang Hub Caps, I think that is called being a Mustang Purist. So just because it does not have a V8 does not make it any less of a Mustang.
You guys with your BIG BAD V8's need to get off of your high horse, if not for the V6 Mustang there would not be an affordable V8 Mustang.
Is my V6 Mustang going to be worth more left stock, probably not, but neither is your GT. Reason being, straight from Ford you have 2 Engine choices and 2 transmission choices, the older High dollar cars were the unique ones, there is nothing more unique about your GT than my V6.
