Modding is a disease. I sold my last Harley to get my current Stang and I said all I would do would be a CAI and tune. Here I am thousands later with cams.... a supercharger....etc-etc. I'm a sick SOB. F-it. I've seen alot of my friends lose their retirements in the market crash and had a couple friends die before their time. I'm livin it up now. I've lived long enough to know that NOBODY knows what tomorrow will bring. So this guy lives for the "now". And I'm lovin every minute!

wow the 4.10s really sound like a good idea. the mustang is my DD. would they ever be a nuisance? or just plain out fun. I found a guy around town that can do the install for 150 bucks. I dont really feel like taking the gearing job on myself.

Words of wisdom right there, man.

In my case, I'm pretty much "done" with the car. Gonna stick to just replacing whatever breaks from now on. (although the idea of going 4.10's has begun creeping it's way around the back of my head lately)

Mine is a DD but we have no freeways on this island. My setup is so awesome that at stoplights leaving with a lil goose to the throttle when the trans shifts (4k) to second it will chirp the tires!! You gotta love that JDM tune for these autos.

$150 is cheap for an install. I paid $500 and its perfect. Make sure the guy guarantees his work. Nothing worse than a big whine.

Yeah, that is exactly what I was thinking. A few guys around here say that he is legit. I might as well go by his shop and look around a while. We do not want gear whine

Doesn't anyone else prefer 3.73's on an auto? I do too much driving for 4.10's, I feel like i'll be revving too high. I've always felt 4.10's are better for manual, while 3.73's are better for auto. jmho.

Totally depends on what you want. If you want lower RPMs at cruising speed in overdrive, yeah, 4.10:1 rear gears would be too deep.

But others do not drive their cars much, just during the weekends as a street terror or on the track, and they want the high RPM and rear end 1st gear torque multiplication. In their case, 410:1 gears are what the need

Mine is a DD and gears will be done in the near future. My car see's 75mph for 30 miles to and from work 2-3 times per week. I don't think my engine or trans would like 4.10's very much. 3.73's are on my wish list.
