Default experiencing a weird feeling @ acceleration

whenever i accelerate, my car feels like it's hauling a 18 wheeler behind it...it just lags or hesitates for a few seconds, and then takes off...it's a stock 07 GT auto...only thing i've done is throw on the muffler delete exhaust...could it be my fuel filter?

any input?

Reset the Adaptive Learning. Disconnect the battery for 20-30 minutes. Best fix would be a CAI & custom tune. Also, clean the TB.

Also, recalibrate the gas pedal/TB:

- Turn the key to the 'ON' position(do not start the engine), and wait for the dash warning lights to go out and the chime to stop.

- Turn off all electrical accessories.

- Press the gas pedal all the way down in one smooth motion while counting to 5 (1001, 1002....).

- Release the gas pedal in one smooth motion while counting to 5.

- Wait 6 seconds.

- Turn key to 'OFF'.

- Wait 6 seconds.

- Repeat the procedure 2 more times.

Make sure you also run around the vehicle 10 times afterwords, while scratching your head and whistling the "Star Spangled Banner "....

Hopefully its not your rear end trying to break. yesterday mine just took a dump and is now clunking and grinding. Good thing for the extended warranty as it happened just asfter she turned over 36,000 miles.

How many miles on the car? I had to change my fuel filter, started to lag at around 35k miles, swapped it out at around 40k and it was a difference.

Before we get this fellow too involved in a bunch of stuff. Lets be reminded that the automatic can be a bit slow to downshift at times. So pay attention to the rpms when you punch it. Do they coincide with the sound and forward momentum of acceleration? If so, nothing you can do to change that. It's normal.
