please help!! READ DTC P0605?
i took my car out for the first time in four months and i was cruising along and the motor seemed to hick-up just a tad. it was still running fine after that thou. i look down and my check engine light was on!!! so i got my scanner and it read P0605!!! "internal control module read only memory (rom) error" i then wanted tothen pull it into my garage and the engine cranked over for about 5 seconds then started. can someone please help me with what is going on? the car was dyno tuned last september and run at the track a few times. tuner gave me 2 tunes, one with 18 deg. timing and another with 19deg. timing. i am running the 18 now.

Its a universal code. does the car present with any sustained drivability issues?
Could be a corrupted ECM rom file, unplug the (-) batter cable for a few minutes, plug it back in. While you have the battery unplugged check out the cables and harneses going in to the ECm see if they are fitted correctly.
If the error comes back unplug the battery again, plug it back in and reload the tune you want.
If the problem persists, the ECM will likely have to be replaced or reflashed by the dealer.

no i didnt start it up. it is a garage attached to my house. doesnt seem to be any drivablity issues. i got a whipple h.o. on there so you know!! i am going to unplug battery for a few minutes and check connections into the ECM.

ok! i just connected the battery back up and the car started fine and the check engine light stayed off for the 5 minutes as i ran the car at idle. am i still running the whipple 18 deg. tune even thou i disconnected the battery cause i was told if i let my battery die over the winter i will lose my dyno tune!!

your right Ronn, maybe i should of loaded the stock tune back in for the winter and kept the dyno tunes in my tuner!! but i did keep a battery tender on all winter!! i think i am going to the 19 deg. tune to make sure everything is o.k. then switch back to 18 deg. tune and hope it stays the same.!!
