Ha! I've gotten that S&H comment from several people already. I take it as a compliment since that's one of the coolest cars on TV ever.

FWIW, my stripes are the style of the 1969 Boss 302... which predates the S&H car by 6 years, but obviously most people know the Torino.

If I went with the reverse C boss stripe on the side like this one in black reflective:

Plus the lettering on the trunk like this one in black:

And the stripes on the hood in black:

How would all that look? If someone has photoshop and is willing to try this out, I am going to use the sonic blue car.
I was considering the C-Stripe and those exact hood stripes for my screaming yellow. I think they look sharp and are definitely unique compared to most of the rides I've seen in the DFW area. The double shelby stripe is so overdone!

Alas, I can't bear to tamper with my rides clean lines so I'll just have to wait until something looks so hot I can't resist. I like the idea of a hood scoop but only if it is functional. Otherwise it just seems cheap, like the fake convertible top look that was in vogue back in the 80's.

I second the opinion about no black--white, silver or gold is the way to go on that royal blue! Of course, it's your baby so make it look like you want it to look.

Does anyone have a picture of the Sonic Blue with black stripes? If you do, can you please post one?

I placed the order for the above items except for the MustangGT on the trunk lid. Instead, I found a script Mustang lettering that I will be putting there instead. I hope it turns out like I want it.

I have seen the C stripes on a screaming yellow GT on another forum that I can't mention on this forum. It looks great........I don't think that person is not on this forum any longer. I would give you the link but I can't do that either. Send me an e-mail and I'll send you the link.

Make sure to put some pics up as soon as you get those on your car!

I just took mine in for my free oil change at the dealer. I had two service consultants and the customer relations manager come stop me and ask where I got my stripes.

I'm not a fan of over-doing the strips. Less is more.
However, is it just me, or do the hood and trunk strips look more Chevy than Ford? Didn't the 60's Chevys have stripes on the hood and trunk but not on the roof or front/rear facias? Ford had them all the way front to back. Just a thought.
If I saw it in the street I'd ask why you put Chevy type stripes on a Ford...

No, I think everyone just remembers the very distinctive Shelby and LeMans stripes and ties that to Ford. The 1969 Boss 302 did not have full front-to-back stripes and neither did a lot of other cars.

I'll admit I'm not a Ford expert (I was a Chevy guy until only recently when I turned to the dark side). But I still say the hood/trunk stripes look remarkably like the ones on the 70 Chevelle or 69 Camaro. What's important is if you like it. (If I had a dime for each time I've read that on this forum, I'd be rich!)
